This exclusive chalet unfolds amid the picturesque mountain landscape of Austria, capturing the power of the Alps and translating it into architectural form. Light, open, and with a quiet elegance that fills every room with nature.
The chalet in Austria presents itself as a modern reinterpretation of Alpine building culture. Clean lines, natural materials and precisely crafted architecture create a home that radiates tranquillity while conveying a special sense of openness. Wood, stone and glass interlock precisely to form a harmonious ensemble that emphasises the property's special location without imposing itself.
From the outset, architect Herbert Günther pursued the goal of creating a retreat that offers comfort and security while remaining closely connected to its surroundings. The chalet thrives on wide sightlines, subtle transitions between inside and outside, and constant interaction with the surrounding landscape – an approach that lends the building its special tranquillity and clarity.
- Construction manager Stefan Steger convincingly sums up the guiding principle.

The design of swissFineLine fits seamlessly into this architectural concept: the elegant integration of frameless sliding windows gives the building a modern lightness and creates a connection to nature that can not only be seen but also felt. The minimalist glass surfaces blend effortlessly into the alpine design and create a spatial experience that conveys both transparency and warmth. The combination of clear glazing and warm wooden architecture
and soft lighting create an exclusive ambience that extends throughout all rooms. The glass fronts open silently, allowing the interior to flow seamlessly onto the terrace. No visible frames, no technical distractions – instead, an uninterrupted panoramic view that continues in the reflective water surfaces of the pool. The clarity of this architecture subtly brings the changing seasons into the house and gives each room a special depth.

One of the key challenges was to fully integrate the large-format glass wings into the wall structure. The architectural concept called for a smooth transition between the interior and exterior, without any visible boundaries. The niche solution from swissFineLine met these requirements: a technically sophisticated system that allows the window sashes to be elegantly and flushly guided into the wall pockets. The result is architectural purity that focuses entirely on space, light and landscape.
The combination of these architectural decisions resulted in a chalet that does not impose itself, but rather exists in harmony with its surroundings. It is a place where nature and design complement each other and together create an atmosphere that is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also emotionally touching – minimalist, high-quality and full of warmth.
